Are your students disengaged? Fearful? Overwhelmed? Detached? Controlling?
Do they seem disorganized and “all over the place”
Is it difficult to engage in reciprocal activities? Are they going too fast? Too slow?
Is it difficult to take turns/match energy levels? Stay engaged? Follow a plan?
Do you find yourself “therapist held hostage” during their treatment sessions?
….and exhausted afterwards?

Learn new and exciting multidisciplinary therapeutic tools and techniques for the neurodiverse/ASD child/teen/adult who may be struggling with social/emotional, developmental and/or sensory motor challenges. Based on the latest research, this course introduces the physiology of rhythmic engagement to facilitate positive social/emotional states, enhance language and movement as well as to support self-regulation and homeostasis. Current research will be highlighted, and labs will provide opportunities to experience and utilize the components of timing and cadence in sensory-motor and physiologic development.

timing and regulation.

3)Demonstrate familiarity with establishing a cadence to enhance therapeutic engagement, and socialemotional comfort.

4) List options for therapeutic patterns of rhythm to facilitate motor initiation, coordination and skill development
