Are you witnessing people being easily frustrated, prone to anger outbursts over what might be perceived as minor issues?

Is fear often present – about situations, people, objects?

Do you know individuals who are experiencing difficulties with sleep, feeling on edge, avoiding situations, being clingy, having predominantly negative thoughts, electing not to speak, and/or having significant challenges with concentration?

These are all common signs of ANXIETY, and you are not alone in acknowledging there is an increase of these debilitating feelings worldwide. Recognizing these symptoms for what they are (and what they are not) offers HOPE and helps you in providing attuned and appropriate support towards increasing their quality of life.

This one-day workshop in Long Island, NY will provide a wide range of clinicians and professionals with the opportunity to explore the signs of anxiety and dysregulation, all the potential contributing factors to stress from a 360-degree holistic perspective, and the impact anxiety has on behavior, relationships, and learning. Participants will also gain an understanding of the impact of attachment, for better and for worse, both as a regulator and disruptor of functional arousal states. Ultimately, strategies and tools will be highlighted that support and integrate an individual’s sensation, cognition, and emotional resources – interventions that can be effective within schools, across therapeutic settings and at home.

The curriculum is designed for multidisciplinary participants across various contexts at the intermediate level. While the content predominantly focuses on children and youth, it is also applicable to professionals working with complex adults.
