The PuzzleArt Therapy Training Program is a six-credit hour, full day hands-on training course with an overview of the visual, thinking, perceptual, sensory and oculomotor skills needed for success, and the PuzzleArt Therapy System which can help develop and improve 20 of these skills.

It gives an introduction to the PuzzleArt Therapy System, which is the first therapy to combine binocular, perceptual, oculomotor and PuzzleArt sensory protocols using hands-on abstract art.

Therapists train on, and leave with PuzzleArt Therapy concepts, tools, techniques and materials which can be used the very next day with their client/patient/student populations in an innovative, colorful and fun way.

Learning Objectives
Participants completing this course should be able to:

  • Define visual perception, visual motor, oculomotor, binocular and sensory skills
  • Identify the PuzzleArtTM products that will help develop and improve visual skills
  • Conduct a quick visual screening to be used in conjunction with clinical assessment and standardized tests as well as three PuzzleArtTM Sensory Protocols
  • Explain the relationship of visual skills to reading, writing and daily life skills
  • Integrate therapeutic skills using a minimum of six PuzzleArtTM Therapy products
  • Apply this new form of integrative therapy to current practice

Susan Fisher is a developmental optometrist in private practice for 29 years in Westbury, NY. She has been providing vision care at The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County for 20 years and is the Past-President of the New York State Optometric Association.
