Participants completing this course will be able to:
a) Assess their current level of clinical self-efficacy
b) Determine their clinical artistry and therapeutic use of self
c) Appraise the barriers to their clinical artistry
d) Develop skills to consistently assess the therapeutic moment for what is required
e) Detect the when and how to make necessary adjustments and modifications in sessions
Target Audience & Course Level:
This class is for the intermediate to advanced level clinician (OT, PT, SLP) interested in learning the clinical reasoning skills that will offer the ability to write goals and plan treatment based on real and functional objectives.

Dr. Julia Harper
DR. JULIA HARPER, PhD, MS, OTR/L is the Clinical Director and President of TheraPeeds. Dr. Harper holds advanced certifications, including a SIPT certification from Sensory Integration International and INPP certification from the Institute for Neurophysiological Psychology in the UK. She was an Adjunct Professor in the OTA Program at LaGuardia College and holds a music degree from the Royal Academy of Music, which she applies to her work in Sensory Integration.
Dr. Harper receives a speaking fee for her presentation. She has no relevant non-financial relationships to disclose.

We can’t change what we can’t see. Do you know what is the status of your clinical artistry? In this segment, you will evaluate your current status and even MORE important, you will get clarity about the barriers to your clinical artistry.
10:00- 10:15 – Morning Break
10:15-12:00 pm – CHANGE- Getting Around What’s Blocking You
After getting a clear picture, it’s time to take action to develop your artistry including learning how to continually assess YOURSELF and the client in the moment so that you can bring more responsiveness to your clinical decision making and increase your therapeutic use of self. This segment targets your efficacy by addressing self-doubt and ‘second-guessing’ to increase treatment efficacy.
12:00 – 12:45 – Lunch Break
12:45- 3:00 – DO- Moving forward with Artistry
This segment delves into clinical reasoning, adjusting and modifying treatment to the individual client and situation to fine tune treatment.
