HANDLE®, which stands for Holistic Approach to Neurodevelopmental and Learning Efficiency, is a simple, effective, empowering, movement-based therapy approach to strengthening underlying sensory, motor and  neurological systems that are contributing to learning and life difficulties.  HANDLE® activities are neuro-developmentally sound harnessing the latest research on brain plasticity and building on client motivation.

In this hands-on and interactive one-day course, participants will gain an understanding of the basic tenets of the HANDLE® paradigm in order to view and analyze behavioral and functional difficulties in the classroom from a unique perspective.  From this perspective, participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice a variety of easy-to-implement, fun and versatile therapeutic HANDLE® activities in order to address and ameliorate these difficulties.  HANDLE® activity programs can be customized for use with individuals or groups, built into sensory diets and/or taught to teachers and parents as part of classroom or home programming.   The main therapeutic modality of HANDLE®, Gentle Enhancement™, will be explored and analyzed as supported by current research literature and applied to the pediatric client of any functioning level within the school setting.
