Executive Dysfunction in School-Aged Children:
Challenges and Solutions

This 6-hour course is designed for SLPs, social workers, and school psychologists who work with students who have executive dysfunction (EDF). Attendees will gain the insight necessary to distinguish between specific types of EF problems and develop appropriate treatment plans. Developmental features of EFs are identified, as is the relationship between EFs, language, and social skills. Attendees will learn how to modify classroom environments to promote EF success, develop language goals to support planning & self-regulating, infuse techniques to improve students’ self-awareness, use hands-on activities to improve problem-solving, and foster students’ social insight and behavior.
